TERMS
Last updated: October 1, 2026
These Terms of Use govern your use of igothacked.com and its pages (the "Site"), operated by I Got Hacked ("IGH," "we," "us"). By using the Site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. Services we provide to clients are governed by a separate signed engagement agreement, which controls if it conflicts with these terms.
1. Using this site
The Site is for business visitors who are at least 18 years old. You agree to use it lawfully and in line with these terms.
2. If you are under attack, call us
If you believe you are experiencing a security incident, call (877) 446-8422, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Site, its forms, email and chat features are not monitored in real time and are not a substitute for calling.
3. No engagement, no professional advice
Content on the Site is general information. It is not legal, regulatory, insurance, accounting or technical advice for your situation. Visiting the Site, submitting a form, emailing or calling us does not create an engagement or a confidential or attorney-client relationship. An engagement begins only when you and IGH sign an agreement or written scope of work. IGH is not a law firm. Breach counsel is engaged separately by you. Please do not send passwords, privileged, confidential or other sensitive material through the Site or by email until you have engaged us and agreed on a secure channel.
4. Illustrative content and targets
Dashboards, scenarios, timelines and sample deliverables on the Site are illustrative. They are not live data, client data or compliance certifications. Response and delivery times are representative targets based on typical engagements. Actual results depend on incident complexity, client responsiveness and third-party coordination, and cannot be guaranteed.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- attack, probe, scan or test the Site or its systems without our written permission;
- introduce malware or interfere with the Site's operation or security;
- use bots, scrapers or other automated means beyond ordinary search engine indexing;
- impersonate another person or give false information; or
- use the Site to violate any law or anyone's rights.
If you find a security issue, please report it to hello@igothacked.com and give us reasonable time to fix it before you disclose it.
6. Accounts and client portal
Client sign-in is provided through a separate portal that is subject to its own terms and your engagement agreement. Keep your credentials secure and tell us promptly if you suspect they have been compromised.
7. Intellectual property
The Site and its content, including the names and logos I Got Hacked, IGH, OnWatch and ARI, are owned by IGH or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to view the Site for your internal business purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or create derivative works from the Site without our written permission. If you send us feedback or suggestions, you give us a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide license to use them without obligation to you.
8. Third-party links and services
The Site may link to or rely on third-party websites and services, such as scheduling tools. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices. Your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
9. Disclaimers
The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that any security measure or service will prevent every incident.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, IGH and its affiliates, officers, employees and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site is limited to one hundred US dollars (US$100). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Liability under a client engagement is governed by the engagement agreement.
11. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify IGH against claims, losses and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your misuse of the Site or breach of these terms.
12. Privacy
Our Privacy Notice explains how we handle personal information collected through the Site and forms part of these terms.
13. Suspension
We may suspend or restrict access to the Site at any time, including if we believe you have breached these terms or put the Site or others at risk.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law rules. The state and federal courts located in Texas have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes about the Site, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The new version takes effect when posted with a new date. Continuing to use the Site after that means you accept the changes.
16. General
These terms, together with the Privacy Notice, are the entire agreement between you and IGH about use of the Site. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these terms without our consent, and we may assign them in a merger or sale of our business. We may give notices by posting on the Site or by email.
